Responsibility

For some reason last week a few friends and myself started talking about rooming together in college. We talked about how we would arrange our suite and what colors our rooms would be, you know that kind of jazz. And then it hit me when I was talking to my mom about our plans. I am almost a legal adult. Next year I will be living on my own and  calling my own shots and doing whatever I want. I was also thinking that wow, that's a major heap of responsiblity i'll be adding to my plate. Not that I don't already have some responsibilty of my own , I have a car I take care of and a dog, I also always wash my own clothes.
On top of all of that my little brother got his first truck this weekend. I know I say he's little but his is actually fifteen. But when I saw him sitting behind the wheel in the driveway I started to get misty. Call me sappy but in my eyes I still sometimes see him as that little boy that use to think macaroni was its own food group.
But at the moment I believe i'm ready to grow up and move out. Even though I will miss my mom and dad i'll probably be equally as happy to be on my on. But anywho I have a whole year until I start college. So until then i'll be doing a bit more of growing up.

Current Loves: Blog Edition

Here is a list of blogs i've been loving here lately

Freaky Perfect is my cousin Amy's blog. The reason I like to read her blog is because she is a very good writer and has a way of putting words together. Plus I don't get to see her and her family very often so I when reading I get to know how they are doing.

Elle and Blair are my favorite youtube beauty "gurus" and I like their blog just at as much. Their blog is all things beauty and fashion related. Just like their youtube channels just in text form.

Boing Boing is a current happenings and news blog. It's kind of quirky and fun but I like to go to the website and just read random blogs if I'm bored.

College Fashion is about well, college fashion. I like this blog because as you know I am very into planning for everything and this blog is very helpful. But College Fashion isn't just college students they post about what fashion trend are in, shopping on a budget, etc.

And that's the blogs i read on a daily basis. Comment below and tell me your favorite blogs.

My Italian Adventure

So this summer I spent some time in one of the most beautiful and culturally rich countries, Italy.

For the most part of my trip I stayed in the reigion of Tuscany, which is where this photo was taken. If you want to get technical thsi photo was taken out of the bedroom I was staying in at my uncle and aunts villa.

Anywho, for me this trip was more than a vacation, it was a total eye opener into the odds and ins of another culture besides my own. And I learned that I must have been an Italian in another life. I just felt so at home there, everyone I met was so obliging and nice, everywhere you go there is a friendly face. And the food, oh my goodness the food. It is the best, Italian cooking is so simple and fresh but literally the best stuff I've ever put in my mouth.

I learned so much while I was there. It made me second guess what I wanted to do with my life. That to me alone maded the trip, the fact that I was so effected by the culture that I would pack up my whole life and move there on a moments notice. Not that I don't love where I come from. But for me I would love to be from a place where everywhere you went you saw history instead of Wal-mart.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I love to travel for the historical and cultural differences part of it. And I think everyone should experince something like I did this summer. That doesn't mean that everyone should go to Italy just somewhere that makes you think about, well everything in a new light.

P.S. the italian men are a site to see themselves, they are best looking I have ever beheld.

I Must Be My Own Worst Enemy

This school year is my senior year of high school, you know the year your suppose to take it easy and goof off having the time of your life. Well, not me, every single one of my class is dual-credit (dual-credit is when you can take a college course in high school and get credit for both) and that means that studying will be my life. Even though I'm only taking three this semester and two next it is still alot of work

I know i shouldn't be complaining because I asked for the classes because I'm the kind of person that likes to be prepared for everything, even things I can't control (which I absolutely hate). Plus I'm getting my entire freshman year's worth of credits from this year and last for twenty bucks (books included). That sounds like a total steal to me!

There's a bit of a problem with one of the which would happen to be the one i'm most excited to take, Biology II or Biological Science 224. The problem is it only counts as an elective and some universities don't take it. Well, me being the planner I am will be taking it anyway even though according to the seniors of 2011 it is the hardest class at my high school. I don't care. The only way to a good education is to challenge yourself. I want to prepare myself for what I will be experincing next year. Call me crazy but i like to be prepared.

Current loves

Wow! It has been such a long time since i've posted something. It's just that i have been soooo busy. well lets just get down to it. Here is a list of some thing I have been particularly loving lately.

Maybeline Falsies mascara. This mascara runs around six dollars at any drugstore or supercenter type store.
I LOVE this mascara! it looks so good on, it makes your lashes appear to be thicker and fuller. It is hands down one of the best mascaras I have ever use between drugstore brands and high end brands.

L'Oreal Studio Magic Perfecting Base. This face primer goes for about thirteen dollars. Now I know your thinking thirteen dollars for that little thing (it doesn't really look very small but trust me it is). This stuff is worth every penny in my opinion. This primer can be used all over your face and gives just a smooth even canvas for your makeup and makes it last longer. It diminishes pores and hides blemishes pretty well.

Kerastase Oleo-Relax Serum. This serum goes for around forty dollars. It is expensive but my hair literally would look horrible without it. I have no clue how my hair looked good before i started using this product. I was first introduced to this product on my trip to Italy this summer when my hair became so frizzy none of the products i brought with me could tame it. So i bought this at a local salon in the town neighboring the one I was staying in.Kerastase Website

Yes i know so far all of the things on this post are beauty products, but what can I say,  love makeup and haircare products i'm a bit of a hoarder i guess because I have so many items that I don't even use but insist on keeping, but i promise i have other things on here to.

Vera Bradley Laptop Backpack in Sittin' in a Tree. This pattern amongst others in on sale for $74.99 at this page because it is from a couple seasons ago but the latest season's patterns are $99.00. These backpacks are a little bit pricy but oh so worth it. i got my backpack last year and carried it around all school year long. it never tore and it occasionally got dirty (duh) but you can just throw it in the washer and it is as good as new. This backpack distributes the weight on the back and shoulders so well that most of the time I don't even feel like i have a backpack on. The only thing about it is that my laptop doesn't exactly fit in the laptop compartment of the bag because it is on the larger side of a 15".

My new tumbler/mug I got from walmart. This cost me about ten dollars. I really like this tumbler because it is so easy for me to carry around and it doesn't leak around where the cup and top meet. I like to drink water through out the day and  can bring this anywhere with me and plus it is cute! this cup is made by Aladdin. ( took the picture of the tumbler myself because i couldn't find one on the internet)

Thanks for reading and comment below if you would like to tell what your current loves are.
